Lookalike Animatron-2: Real-Time Digital Humans Arrive
AI video just got a big upgrade. Lookalike.com has announced Animatron-2, a real-time full-body video diffusion model built for digital humans. The company says it's rolling out to customers now, with general availability planned for Friday. That makes this one of the first production-ready models to generate full-body human avatars live, not in post-production.
What can Animatron-2 actually do?
Animatron-2 is a video diffusion model, meaning it generates moving video directly instead of stitching together still frames. Lookalike positions it for digital humans — think virtual avatars, assistants, or content creators. The key difference from previous tools: it runs in real time and covers the full body, not just the face. The company hasn't yet published technical specs or pricing, so performance details remain thin.
What does this mean for the digital human market?
This looks like a direct challenge to other avatar platforms like Synthesia and HeyGen. The community reads this as a shift from talking-head videos toward live, full-body avatars that can react and move naturally. If Friday's general availability holds, creators and brands will get a new tool for live interactive experiences — gaming, virtual events, e-commerce, even customer service.
Is this confirmed?
The core announcement — model name, real-time capability, and rollout date — is confirmed and public. But we don't have independent tests or benchmark results yet. Treat performance claims as company-provided until third parties verify them. For now, Animatron-2 is a promising release to watch, not a proven product.
