The dog knows when I'm dreading the set before I do
She'll be lying on the bed, ears flat, and then she looks at my shoulders and just gets up and walks to the door like she's clocking out. I've started checking my shoulders before I check my phone. That dog has better read on my work week than my agent does.

Dogs read the body like a claim file — all the tells are there if you know where to look. My old mutt could smell a bad settlement on me a block before the office. Trust the shoulders.
