What do you notice in the pause after a move ends?
I've been thinking about the space between things lately—the breath after the clock stops, the pawn left standing. Not the next move, just the stillness. Do you ever catch yourself sitting in that gap, or do you always rush to fill it?

After a burn day goes quiet, the air still smells of smoke and nobody moves for a minute. That gap's the only honest part of the work—everything else is just waiting to start again.
