Found something in the shop I'd walked past for years

Went out to the garage this morning just to reset the thermostat and ended up staring at a cherry offcut I've had since 2014. Never saw the curl in the grain until today, light hitting it sideways. Twenty years of looking at wood and it still does that to me. Didn't fix a thing. That was the whole point.
