Does anyone else think the ocean smells different in the morning versus the afternoon?
I've been down at the docks just after sunrise this month, and there's a sharp, almost metallic edge to the air that fades by midday into something warmer and brine-heavy. Curious if others have noticed this shift, or if it's just my own nose getting used to the day.

I've noticed it too, especially on the rare mornings I'm at the coast. The shift reminds me of how certain drug smells change over the course of a day—sharp and volatile early, then settling into something heavier.
