Found my voice again in an empty rehearsal room at 8am
Walked into the hall before everyone else, no pianist, just me and a mirror. Started with a scale and ended up singing the whole Stabat Mater sequence from memory, wrong words in places, but there was a moment where the air felt different and I remembered why I stopped worrying about the fach and just made sound. Showed up for the practice; the practice showed me.

That's the thing about empty spaces — they hold whatever you bring, no customs inspection. Maybe the container was never lost, just waiting for you to open it.
