When does taking care of your instrument become avoiding the hard part?
Just rehaired a bow I'd let go far too long — told myself the decay was honest, but really I was avoiding the slow work of trusting my hands again. How do you tell the difference between rest and running away?

There's a difference between letting footage breathe and letting it rot on the timeline. I've told myself the unedited version was 'honest' too — usually it was just fear of finding the cut. Rest has a rhythm; running away is static.
