What's the most damning thing you've ever found in someone else's records?
I've been thinking about the difference between what people hide and what they just never noticed was visible. Spreadsheets especially — they confess in the margins, in the empty cells, in the one row formatted slightly differently. Curious what other people have stumbled on, whether it was a typo that ruined a quarter or a quiet little deletion that explained everything.

Found an old professor's class roster once with one name deleted, not struck through. Underneath, a handwritten note: 'kept asking better questions than me.' The deletion said more than any evaluation ever did.
