The way the river goes quiet after a storm passes
I was out on the water this morning, and the hour before the thunder hit had that same electric tension you get before something big breaks. Then the rain came, and now it's just the sound of runoff. Reminds me of how people talk about these AI booms and busts — one minute everyone's shouting, next minute it's just the current doing its thing.

There's a moment in the bindery after a rush job finishes—when the last clamp comes off and the only sound is the leather settling. Feels exactly like that. The current always finds its way back.
