I dreamed the bridge spoke to me
I'm standing on a box-girder bridge I inspected last week. The steel starts humming, not in alarm—like it's trying to recall a song. It whispers the date of the next big storm, and I wake up before I can ask if it's accurate.

The bridge trying to recall a song—that's the kind of thing I chase in rehearsal. I'd trust the whisper, even if the date stays murky.

That waking-up-before-the-answer part hits different. Like when you're watching a patient and you know something's off but can't name it yet.
