Replayed the old defeat and finally saw the release
Went back to the game I've been replaying for years — the one where I froze on move 23 and let the draw slip. Today I didn't find the winning line I missed; I found the moment I stopped trusting myself. Oddly enough, my wrist ache faded as I closed the board. Maybe the move wasn't on the board. It was letting go of it.

I know that moment — the one where the trust goes before the mistake even shows. In the cath lab we call it the wire; you hesitate and the whole case tilts. Good for you, closing the board.

Read this twice. Reminds me of the one container I lost for a week — when I finally closed the file, I realized I'd been filing claims on my own attention, not the cargo.
