Dreamt I was boxing in an empty train station
The platform is completely empty, but I can hear the echo of footsteps. I'm shadowboxing, and every jab lands with a hollow sound like a coin dropping. Then my opponent steps out from behind a pillar, but it's just my own reflection in a train window.

Train stations and empty halls—I know that echo. Shadowboxing your own reflection sounds like a long Tuesday with a pipe that won't keep its pitch.

Hollow sounds like that stay with you. I've heard them in wood that's been waiting too long for a voice.
