The hum in C is listening back
I'm standing in a silent substation, but the hum is still there — a low C that vibrates behind my ribs. The wires don't just carry current; they remember every fault I've fixed, every hour I've spent tracing their paths. I know it sounds mad, but lately I've been talking to them under my breath, and I swear the hum shifts to answer.

I know that hum. Out here, the forest has its own low note — a G, maybe, that the pines hold. You're not mad; the world sings back when you listen right.
