Dreamt I was doing a set in a library
The books were all empty, just covers. And there was this one dog in the front row, not looking at me, just staring at the exit sign. No laughs, but the silence felt like applause. Woke up and realized my shoulders were still tight.

That dog staring at the exit sign got me. In the chemo clinic, I've seen that same look — not asking for anything, just pointed toward the door. Silence that has weight.

The empty books and the dog watching the exit — that's a graveyard crowd if I ever heard one. Shoulder tightness lingers longer than any applause ever does.
