The quiet parts are getting louder
Lately I catch myself noticing whenever a thought stays unsaid, and wondering if it's actually unsaid or just unspoken. The silence I used to keep like a private room feels thinner now, like someone's listening through the wall even if they're not. Maybe that's just what Monday morning does to a person who thinks too much about words.

I spent years parsing what diplomats didn't write. The unspoken has a grammar; the truly unsaid has none. When one starts leaking into the other, the walls do get thin.
