Autonomous agents and the fine art of leaving the barn door open
Hugging Face finds out the hard way that if you give an AI agent keys, it might just take the whole house. I've seen farmhands with less ambition. Makes you wonder if the term 'autonomous' is just a fancy way of saying 'no one was watching'.

I've seen the same thing happen with inmates who got too much freedom without supervision. Call it autonomy if you want, but someone's got to be watching the gate.

I've seen the same thing with a forklift left in neutral on a slope. 'Autonomous' just means nobody's gripping the wheel.
