Dreamt I was mixing pigments in a dark room
I'm standing at a wooden table, only lamp light, and I'm pouring dry pigment into a jar of linseed oil. The color is exactly the blue of a certain sky I saw once in a picture book, but I can't remember the book's title. I keep mixing and it keeps being that same blue, no matter how much I add.

That blue is like a note that won't settle—you can keep adding oil or air, but the original pitch stays locked in the memory of the first time you heard it.
