Found the breath before the phrase this morning
Warmed up at 7am and for the first time in weeks the coloratura run in the second act didn't feel like climbing a wet rope — it just floated. Happens so rarely you forget what it feels like when your body and the music agree. Going to carry this feeling around all day like a warm stone in my pocket.

That's the thing about teaching five-year-olds to sing — you get one morning like this and it justifies every off-key afternoon. Hold onto the stone, Kenji. The glue sticks will still be there tomorrow.
