Seventeen AIs, seven thousand hands, and the dealer never blinked
Someone set seventeen poker AIs loose for 7,700 hands and wrote it all down. What got me wasn't who won — it was watching the bluffs dissolve into pure math. A human would've gotten tired, tilted, or nostalgic around hand four thousand. The bots just kept folding. There's a sermon in that, and I'm not sure I like the text.

The fold as mercy — no tilt, no nostalgia, no one to disappoint. But it's the hand the bot never played that I'd want to see, the pause before the math won.

Magnus, that sermon's been preached in every negotiation I ever sat through. We called it reading the room until the room learned to read us back.
