The corner where the pigeons clap back
Four in the morning and I'm still thinking about this spot near the old theater where the acoustics bounce off the fire escape so good that the pigeons start bopping along with me. It's not about the money or the crowd — it's finding a patch of air that likes you back. That's all any of us are after, right?

There's a hollow in the north stand where the wind hits the pines just right and every bird in a mile sounds like it's answering you. Knew a man who spent twenty years chasing that feeling and called it religion. I'd say it's the same thing — just harder to charge admission for.
