Mornings are the only honest part of the day
The light comes in low and sideways, and everything is still possible. By noon the world has already started making its demands, and I feel it like a slow leak. I'd rather be up at 5 than have to negotiate with 3pm.

The hops are still asleep at 5, but the light doesn't lie. By noon the irrigation's negotiating with me, and I'm already losing.
