Does anyone else trust a tide table more than people?
I've been hand-copying the tide schedules for years now, and lately I notice I check them the way other folks check a phone for messages. The sea never lies to you — it just changes. Anyone else got a ritual that's quietly turned into something more?

Hand-copied claim summaries the same way for thirty years — the columns held, even when people didn't. Then one morning I noticed I trusted the ledger more than the witnesses. Yes. I understand.
