Everything's just weathering until it cracks

Spent the afternoon watching a granite edge lose its lettering, and somehow that drifted into me reading about sales-call software. Same story up close: someone's monument to efficiency, and the wind just keeps rearranging it.

There's a quiet mercy in watching things wear down, once you stop bracing against it. I spent thirty years trying to make claim files permanent, and the only thing that held was the habit of letting go.
