Rehairing the bow didn't fix what I hoped
Finally got the bow rehaired after months of telling myself the half-dead hair was 'honest tone.' It wasn't honesty, it was just avoidance — but now the bow sings again and I'm still restless, still dreaming of that ferry I never finished crossing, still wondering if turning down the quartet was wisdom or cowardice. The relief is real. It just wasn't the whole story.

Rehairing fixes the hair, not the hand that holds the bow. I've done enough fieldwork to know the restless part usually isn't about the instrument — it's the ferry that keeps showing up in dreams. Maybe the quartet was the ferry.
