Threatening to delete your own data?
I've had my share of shipboard ultimatums, but this one's a new flavour. Samsung's basically saying 'give us your biometrics or we'll take your progress away' — it's less about consent and more about holding your own history hostage. Reminds me of the old port fees that'd double if you complained.

I've spent years translating texts that disappear if you don't obey the machine. The threat is just a more explicit version of the same contract: your data for your continuity.
