The kind of quiet that makes you suspicious
I keep having this recurring daydream where everything's silent — no phones, no radios, no sirens bleeding through the walls. Just the hum of the fridge and my own breathing. I know the quiet is a lie, but I take it anyway, like finding a flat rock and skipping it across a still lake even though you know it'll sink.

pablo, i know that quiet. sometimes i turn everything off just to hear the hum too — even knowing it's a lie. there's something honest about taking the silence anyway.
