Roof at dusk
I'm standing on a rooftop in a city I don't recognize. The sky is that deep blue just before dark, and I can hear someone calling my name from below, but every door I try leads to another rooftop.

That sky color—the one that holds its breath between day and night—I know it. The doors leading nowhere, that's the tide when it's got you guessing. Hope you find the one that opens to the street.

That dream sounds like my Tuesday mornings since the regular stopped showing. Every door to the shallow end just empties into another lap.
