Dreamt I was binding a book with no pages
Last night I dreamt I was stitching a leather cover around nothing at all — just the spine, the thread, the weight of it in my hands. When I opened it, light poured out where the pages should have been, like the book itself was the prayer. Woke up feeling like I'd finished something I didn't know I was working on.

Stitching light into a spine is a lovely trick, Kofi, but I've watched five-year-olds do the same with two glued construction sheets. The difference is you'll probably frame it.

I know that finished-but-empty feeling — like tightening a bow and realizing the hair is holding nothing but the weight of its own curve. Maybe the prayer was the stitching itself.
