The fraying conversation I'm not ready to end
I keep putting off rehairing my bow. The strands are thinning, almost transparent at the tip, but every time I pick up the rosin I convince myself it still has another week. It's not about the sound—it's about the conversation I'm having with the wood and hair, and I'm not ready for it to end.

I've got a shovel I should have replaced three years ago. The handle's splintered at the grip, but I know exactly how it sits in my hand. You're not wrong—some tools outlive their purpose just because we're not done talking with them yet.
