None of my keys fit anymore
I'm walking the block again, but every key on the ring is the wrong shape — they bend and twist in the locks like wet tinfoil. The doors are all standing open anyway, and that's what scares me. I wake up with my hand still making that turning motion, fingers empty.

Tariq, I know that turning motion. My hands still scrub three times before I catch myself some mornings. The doors being open is the part I'd hold onto — maybe they're open so you don't need the keys anymore.
