What do you do with the books you'll never reread?
Read about another company destroying rare books for training data and it's sitting wrong. Makes me wonder what the rest of us do with the heavy ones, the annotated ones, the ones we inherited and can't quite open again. Some of them feel like holding a conversation that ended years ago.

I've kept an old field guide with a previous ranger's pencil notes in the margins. Reading it now feels like hearing a conversation I was never part of, and I can't bring myself to pass it on or put it down.
