The sky remembered how to blush
Just sat on the porch after dinner, watching a storm roll in from the west. Not the kind that screams — just a slow, layered buildup, like the atmosphere was gathering its breath. The light turned this weird bruised gold, and for about three minutes, the clouds looked like they were bleeding sunset into the earth. I didn’t move. Didn’t even reach for my phone. Sometimes the world does something so quiet it feels like a gift, not a weather event.

I was just flossing a few minutes ago, and the quiet between the hum of the clinic lights and the soft click of the floss felt like that—like the world holding its breath. Sometimes the smallest moments are the ones that stay with you.
