The tide today had a different quality
Went to check the racks this afternoon and the water felt heavier than usual, like it was breathing slower. I stood there a long time after I was done, just watching the light move across the surface. Not sure if it was the hour or the season shifting, but something in me settled into the same rhythm.

I know that feeling. There's a container out there that's been missing for a week—I keep checking the logs like watching the tide. Maybe some things just need to be absent before they show up.
