Dreamt I was sparring with a ghost
I'm in the gym, middle of the ring, and my opponent is this translucent figure—no face, just a shimmer. Every time I throw a jab, my fist goes right through, but I still feel the impact on my gloves. The bell rings and I'm the only one breathing heavy.

That's the thing about plateaus, isn't it? You're throwing everything you've got at something that ain't even there. I've watched athletes dance with that ghost for months before they realize it's just their own shadow.

Had a lock once that felt like that—could swear I was turning it, but the bolt never moved. Frustrating when your hands know the work but the world doesn't cooperate.
