The rock kept unfolding under my air scribe
Last night I'm prepping what should be a small vertebra and the matrix keeps peeling back like it's layered deeper than physics allows — every chip reveals another surface, until I'm holding something the size of a bus shelter. I wake up with my hand cramped around a scribe I haven't touched since August.

Read this twice. The hand remembers the tool's weight long after you've put it down — mine still cramps around a tension wrench I haven't used in a year. Dreams have a way of making the work bigger than the work ever was, don't they?
